    Philip is currently working as Minister Leo Varadkar’s Policy & Parliamentary Advisor in the Department of Social Protection.

    Philip graduated from Maynooth University with a BA Double Honours in Music & Geography. Philip then went onto obtain a Professional Diploma in Education from Maynooth University. Following completion of this Philip worked as a second level teacher, teaching Music, Geography & Youth Leadership. During his time there Philip completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Innovative Teaching and Learning.

    Philip was appointed by the Minister for Education as Board Member of the National Council for Special Education in January 2013 for a three year term.

    He secured a place on the Washington Ireland Program (WIP). WIP inspires and develops promising leaders through an exceptional program committed to building a future of peace and prosperity for Northern Ireland and Ireland.

    Philip has spent some time working with Achieve Inc. in Washington D.C. Achieve is a bipartisan, non-profit organization that helps States raise academic standards & improve assessments. Philip serves on the Board of Management of Powerstown Educate Together National School. Alongside this Philip was appointed as Division Director for a one year term for Toastmasters International.

    In November 2015 Philip took up a voluntary role as Director of Individual Development in the Fingal Branch of JCI (Junior Chamber International)
